I had a mixed experience at The Playford Adelaide. The central location was fantastic, making it easy to explore the nearby cafés and attractions. However, I found some aspects of the hotel dated, particularly the old carpeting and gym equipment. While the staff were lovely and the food was great, there were issues with noise and some additional charges that detracted from the overall experience.

Rooms
6.0
The room was clean and comfortable with nice linen, but I found the lack of natural light a bit disappointing. It felt more like a four-star hotel to me, especially with the older decor.
Service
7.0
The staff were welcoming and friendly, which I appreciated. However, I expected a more attentive approach during service at the bar, especially for a hotel of this standard.
Location
9.0
The hotel's central location is a big plus. It's just a short walk from various attractions, restaurants, and the casino, making it convenient for both leisure and business travelers.
Dining
6.0
While the breakfast was nice, I found it to be overpriced compared to options nearby. It was frustrating that I couldn't get a reservation at the restaurant, even as a hotel guest, which felt a bit off.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities include a 24-hour pool and gym, which I found handy. However, the gym equipment and some areas felt outdated, which is surprising for a luxury hotel.

My stay at The Playford Adelaide was an overall pleasant experience. From the welcoming staff to the charming decor, I felt cared for. Though the restaurant area felt a bit crowded during breakfast, the food quality was excellent. The room was luxurious, but I did notice a few minor maintenance issues that didn't detract much from my enjoyment.

Although the restaurant seemed a bit crowded and required reservations for breakfast, the buffet was impressive and the fresh fruit presentation was beautiful. I relished my meals. though the kitchen had a few hiccups during dinner service. Fortunately, there were ample dining options nearby.

I loved the underground pool, sauna, and spa area. However, I did experience a wait for a functioning elevator during peak hours.

I had a wonderful stay at The Playford Adelaide, embracing the beautiful blend of its central location and really good service. The well-appointed room was comfortable, although navigating the steep stairs was a bit cumbersome at times. Overall, I truly enjoyed the experience, particularly the easy access to local dining and entertainment options.

The Junior Suite I stayed in was beautifully designed and roomy, complete with a spa bath that was a highlight. However, I found the loft-like layout with steep stairs a bit inconvenient for bathroom trips, especially when tired.

Dining at Luma was a treat; I especially enjoyed the pan-fried gnocchi. Although the in-room dining menu could use more vegetarian options, the overall dining experience was good.

The hotel offered solid facilities, including a lovely pool and spa area. I appreciated the cleanliness and comfort, though I would have liked some luggage racks in the room.

I had an enjoyable stay at The Playford but felt it fell short of true five-star standards. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, I found the decor a bit outdated, particularly the carpets. The location was fantastic for exploring local attractions, and the dining experience was generally pleasant, though I did encounter some hiccups with breakfast reservations. Overall, a good weekend, but I expected a bit more given the hotel's rating.

Rooms
